Attorney Jennifer A. Davis has dedicated twenty-seven years to building a successful law career focused on family and criminal law. Working as a defense attorney for a private insurance firm, Attorney Davis spent her first five years practicing law in Stamford, Connecticut, later moving on to start her own law firm. Now, as a Senior Attorney at The Maine Criminal Defense Group, she brings decades of experience and a deep commitment to client advocacy. As an undergraduate at Bowdoin College, Attorney Davis interned for Senator George J. Mitchell in Washington, D.C., assisting constituents and covering legislative hearings. She graduated with a double major in History and Government and a minor in Education before teaching high school in Saco, Maine. She made history as Maine’s first female varsity boys’ contact sport coach when she led Thornton Academy’s boys’ soccer team. In college, she was an avid athlete, playing soccer, basketball, and softball, and was active on the alumni board, giving campus tours to prospective students.
Attorney Davis earned her law degree with honors from Quinnipiac University School of Law, winning multiple moot court and advocacy awards: the Quinnipiac University Moot Court Competition, the Arnold J. Bai Award, the Best Advocate Award, the Marci Karbane Award for Best Oral Advocacy and the Best Speaker Award. During her time in law school, Attorney Davis clerked for Justice Dominic Squatrito, United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
When not working, Attorney Davis enjoys spending time watching, playing and coaching basketball, soccer and softball. She is a fan of college basketball (March Madness is a religion). She enjoys spending time at her family’s camps at the lake and by Maine’s beautiful coast. She resides with her husband, and her dog Kobe and her cat Tatum. She has two adult children who reside in California and Maine.
